If you want a quality rain water tank, you need to start with the best material and time proven technologies. Queenslander Tanks uses a specially designed and tested stainless steel internal bracing system on all Slimline and specialty shaped tanks, along with high quality sealants and fasteners to ensure your precious rain water is safe for many years to come. All our tanks are water tested before they leave the factory as part of our Quality control system.
We value the environment too and want to leave the smallest possible footprint on our delicate planet. Rain water tanks made from Aquaplate® steel have the lowest overall environmental impact. Compared to concrete and HDPE (plastic) rain water tanks, they have the lowest embodied energy, Greenhouse gas emissions and Sulphur dioxide emissions. The annual environmental burden of one of our water tanks is equivalent to one 100W light bulb switched on for approximately one week. These results are from a Life Cycle Analysis study conducted independently by the Centre for Sustainable Technology at the University of Newcastle.
The Aquaplate® corrugated metal Queenslander Tanks uses to manufacture rain water tanks has a food grade polymer film factory applied to a zinc coated steel substrate with an optional Colorbond® painted exterior coating in a range of colours.
While galvanised water tanks have been part of the Australian landscape since our pioneering days, few people realise that the Aquaplate® tanks have been used in Australia for more than 20 years and have proven well capable of reaching and going beyond their manufacturer’s 20 year warranty. This Warranty is backed by Bluescope Steel, Australia's largest steel company to give you total peace of mind.
